Jim has been involved with the Graphic Arts program at Continuing Education since 2002; first as a substitute and adjunct instructor, and now as Associate Professor. Prior to teaching with Continuing Ed., he spent 25 years working in the commercial printing industry. During that time, he worked in a variety of different types of graphics companies, and held a variety of production and management positions, while being responsible for training many employees. His years of experience have given him a unique perspective into the skills needed in today’s industry, and how to train people in those skills.

Jim remains actively involved in the industry. He is also a member of the Printing Industries Association of San Diego, and the California Industrial and Technology Education Association.
