The Electronic Prepress Operations certificate program at the Educational Cultural Complex (ECC) is a 720-hour training program which prepares students for entry-level work as electronic prepress technician, scanner operator, platemaker/CTP, proofer, or bindery operator, with supportive skills in related printing operation. Using Macintosh computers, students work with a variety of software programs to create layouts and design promotional pieces. Students are introduced to press operations and student projects actually go into production in the Commercial Printing class. At the end of their training, students have a portfolio of finished, printed pieces that exhibit their work.
