Steel Fabrication / Shipfitting

The Steel Fabrication/ Shipfitting certificate program at Centre City/Skills Center is a 600-hour training program that prepares students with the necessary skills to safely build, repair and maintain steel structures and ships. Upon successful completion, students know the terminology and understand the technology of shipbuilding and the erection and fabrication of steel structures. The course covers 4 modules:

  • Welding
  • Fitting
  • Burning and Cutting
  • Blueprint Reading and Layout
