This course presents fundamentals in LAN (Local Area Network) design, configuration and internetworking structure and theory, a review of OSI model layers and functions, LAN switching, VLANS (Virtual LANs), Interior Gateway Routing Protocols, Access Control Lists and IP/X routing configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting. Students will learn through theory and hands-on application to design, configure, install and implement a LAN.

Prerequisite:
COMP 601 or equivalent.
