SDCCD Events Celebrate Veterans

To commemorate Veterans Day, the San Diego Community College District’s (SDCCD) colleges and Continuing Education have planned weeklong celebrations and activities.  Events will recognize veterans for their service and assist them in pursuing their education.  The SDCCD currently serves approximately 10,000 veterans, active-duty military, and dependents.  In addition, another 46,000 students in 16 states are enrolled in the SDCCD’s Military Education Program.  SDCCD Veterans Day events:

Groundbreaking for San Diego Continuing Education’s new César E. Chávez Campus

New César E. Chávez Campus in Barrio Logan community will offer free, short-term job training for health careers

What:  Groundbreaking for new César E. Chávez Campus – the future Campus of Excellence of Allied Health Career Training.

·         The 67,924 square foot facility, located in San Diego’s historic Barrio Logan community,  will house 22 classrooms for

·         vocational training, English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Education Diploma (GED)
